With CATRICE’s wide range of colours, every lip colour you can imagine is the perfect beauty look. High-quality ingredients, luxurious textures and optimal value for money – perfect for your lips.
Which lipstick matches my type?
As with your clothes, make-up and especially lipstick should be made to match your skin tone. While shades based on the natural lip colour are suitable for almost every skin type, there are certainly colours that are more suitable for certain types:
the bright guy
the middle type
the dark guy
Women with bright, cool skin are particularly good at natural lipstick colours. Pastel tones such as pink, pink, beige or nude in particular harmonise perfectly with the light skin type. For light skin and dark hair, the so-called “snowtail” look with strong red tones creates a special contrast. For everyday use, however, you can also opt for more understated and subtle nude tones.
A medium and neutral skin type and dark hair can be emphasized with a lipstick in shades of gold or brown.
A darker, warmer complexion, brown eyes and dark hair are most flattered by brown, golden, darker beige tones or even purple shades, as they accentuate the lips brilliantly. Strong dark reds also go well with a dark skin type.
Different textures – a wide selection for the perfect finish
Not only the different colours, but also the varied textures of the lipsticks will add variety to your look:
shiny
metallic
Matte
shimmering
satin
shiny
A classic lipstick or liner is usually creamy, has a high coverage and softens lips. Matt textures are a little firmer, drier and impress with their high coverage and durability.
Achieve slightly shimmering effects with a Sheer Lipstick that is not as strongly pigmented. With this popular finish, your natural lip colour is slightly visible. You can reach semi-matt lips with a satin finish. Its restorative coverage with a silky sheen is just made for intense colours.
The matt finish is also very popular. High-coverage liquid lipsticks are ultra-long-lasting, ultra-matt drying for a bold look.
A lip gloss is a little liquid and gel-like compared to lipstick, has lighter coverage and makes your lips shine. This makes them appear fuller and more well-groomed. With a lip gloss, you’ll be a real highlight in your make-up. The lip gloss is also available in different colours and textures.
Depending on which finish you want to achieve, you should choose lipsticks and lip gloss with the right texture and colour. Whether sensuously matte or with a seductive sheen, CATRICE has fantastic textures and exciting colours for every lip look.
The make-up technique for voluminous lips
For the perfect voluminous lips, you can use bright signal colours to accentuate the lips more strongly. In particular, bold red and pink tones are on trend here. If you want more volume, you can opt for creamy, matte or opaque textures.
You can make your lips extra full and voluminous by choosing a darker shade inside the lips and blending it outwards. With the matching lipcare products like Volumizing Lip Balm, you can achieve a pleasant cooling effect and a smooth, full lip shape.
How does lipstick last?
From morning coffee to lunch to light refreshments, your lipstick needs to take part in your daily routine. Can a lipstick withstand that? Sure! With some tips and tricks, you can make lip colour last all day.
Depending on your lip type, a short CATRICE Lip Peel will help you before applying – especially if your lips are brittle or dry. For example, use a dry toothbrush and massage your lips in circular motions to stimulate blood circulation. Apply a little more lip balm now and the preparation is done.
For optimal durability, you can prime your lips first with a primer as a primer, then frame them with a contour pencil and apply to the centre of the lips. The desired colour can then be applied (preferably with a brush). Gently squeeze on a tissue and reapply a layer of colour. Repeat again and you’re done.
This so-called layering preserves the colour for a long time, without drying out the lips. Use LongLasting lipsticks if you want your makeup to be durable and kissable all day long.
For a opaque matte finish and a feather light feel on the lips, there are great liquid lipsticks from CATRICE.
How can lipstick be gently removed?
The Long Lasting Lipstick has performed its job perfectly and held all day without smudging or smudgement. In the evening, however, you would like to get the most beautiful lipstick with a glitter effect. But what is the best way to remove the colour without trace?
First, you can moisturise your lips with a moisturising cream to help the lipstick dissolve more easily – ideally rubbing in the lip balm and letting it absorb in peace.
After about five minutes of exposure, the lipstick can be gently rubbed off with a damp cloth or cotton pad. But don’t rub too much here to avoid irritating or damaging the skin. In stubborn cases, a cloth moistened with oil also helps.
Afterwards, a lip scrub helps to remove dead skin cells and nourish the skin. Finally, reapply a moisturising lip balm and you’re done.
