Many non-vegan beauty products contain animal or animal derived ingredients such as collagen or beeswax. At CATRICE, however, we prefer to avoid raw materials of animal origin and use only vegan ingredients – for your sake and for the sake of the environment: Only plant-based or synthetic materials can be used in our cosmetics – and on your beautiful skin! All of our cosmetics products are 100% vegan and are usually branded with our Vegan logo. Eliana’s favourite product is finally vegan, too!
Animal welfare is very important to Eliana from the CATRICE website team. “Developing a vegan formula isn’t that easy,” she explains. "For example, beeswax is often used in the manufacture of mascara to make the texture easy to apply and long lasting. Replacing this ingredient with a plant-based wax, such as rice bran wax, can have a significant impact on the performance of the mascara. That’s why we test our products thoroughly beforehand to ensure the same, if not better, efficiency,” says Eliana.
